The Empty Egg

In lilies by the tree I found it all alone. I looked inside to see the candy prize was gone. Other kids were finding eggs painted pink and green. All I found were questions instead of jelly beans.

An empty egg, an empty tomb, they both remind us of good news; delivered on that special day. An empty egg tells us today, an empty world was shown the way.

I must admit at first, I was feeling sad. Now I understand. In emptiness, I’m glad. How could I have known, the only egg I’d find tells a story true? We need this Easter time.

An empty egg, an empty tomb, they both remind us of good news; delivered on that special day. An empty egg tells us today, an empty world was shown the way.
A lesson for my heart, I would love to share. A blessing on this day. For friends both far and near. Once all the candy’s gone, the big parade is through; this empty egg is here. A picture of His truth.

An empty egg, an empty tomb, they both remind us of good news; delivered on that special day. An empty egg tells us today, an empty world was shown the way.

***Song from "A Very Veggie Easter"***

He died for us to give us life, and to give us hope He rose! I'm so glad He rose! Praise Him! God bless you all this Easter!

As soon as I saw your photo, the same thought ran through my head--the empty tomb. Happy Easter!
