Catching Up on my ATC's!
I have fallen...slightly...behind on my ATC's for the HHN09 challenge on SCS. You wouldn't believe it if you've ever seen my house, but I hate to get behind (I do make an exception for housework)! :)
When I feel like I'm getting too far gone in crafting, I sometimes lose my inspiration. I felt that way with these two ATC's. I could not, for the life of me, think up designs for them. Finally I just sat down and focused only on the HHN09 challenge. And, what do you know? I actually got them done! Who knew that you could get things done when you worked on them!?
Here they are:
For the Lamb ATC, I made the clouds using the cloud stamp from "Choo Choo" (SU). The verse and title are hand-written. Paper is SU.

These actually came to me pretty quickly. The most time consuming card was Lamb, and even that wasn't too bad. I think I am finally getting the hang of ATC's. It's only taken me 3 months, but that's ok. Good things come to those who wait....right?? :)

Forest Friend CAS12 Challenge
This is the card I made for the CAS12 challenge on SCS. The challenge was to use bits of ribbon. It took me forever to get around to making this card. I just couldn't think of anything. Finally I just sat down and started moving cardstock around! :)
Paper: SU - Not Quite Navy, Chocolate Chip, Garden Green
Ink: SU - Garden Green & Chocolate Chip
Stamps: SU - Forest Friends & Baroque Motifs
Ribbon: Walmart
Technique: Cuttlebug embossing (Distressed Stripe)
To be honest, I'm not sure how I feel about this card. I had the colors in my mind and just added everything as I went along. Hmm...I'll see if it grows on me. :)

Super Mom!
I found the link to a fun challenge on Crystal's blog (A fellow "Sugar"). InStyle Stamps is giving away a free digi stamp to be used for their Mother's Day challenge. Today is the deadline.
Here is the card I made with this great image:
I found a cool comic book font online and used it for the "Pow" captions. All paper is SU except the patterened which is DCWV. The ribbon is from Hobby Lobby. I colored the image with Bic markers. Image copyright of InStyle Stamps.
Hopefully this card inspires you to thank your "Super Mom". I know I'm blessed to have my grandma and great-grandma in my life. They are definately heroes in my book!!

Pictured here are: My 90 year old great-grandma, My 74 year old grandma, Me & 2 1/2 month old Colson (he's 2 now!). My mom wasn't there that day. We have 5 generations! We are truly blessed!!

More images for Kayleigh
As I mentioned in a previous post MSB is also donating proceeds from three digi stamps to Kayleigh's family. The images are terrific! Sweetnilla is the image I chose to purchase. It's very girly, which I'm not used to since I have been steeped in boy blue for over two years! :)
Here is the card I made:
I used Stampin' Up paper and ran the pink pieces through my Cuttlebug with the "D'vine Swirls" embossing folder. I put little pearls and jewels (from Hobby Lobby) on the flowers and the baton. I colored the image with my Bic markers.
Stop by the Modern Sugar Blvd store to see the other cute images that benefit Kayleigh's family.

Riding in MONSTER TRUCKS with boys!
I was SO excited to see this awesome digi stamp on Dustin Pike's blog yesterday. Every Wednesday he gives away a new image. This week's had me jumping up and down. (Ok, not literally. I was jumping in my mind though). It is very hard to find "boy" images. Especially one as cute...ahem....I mean, tough as this one.I colored the truck with my Copic and Bic markers. Isn't it nice to have those two working together? Million dollar markers and Walmart specials. :) I cut the image out and pop-dotted it onto the background. I sponged the background with SU ink. Brocade Blue, Close to Cocoa & Creamy Caramel. The star paper is from DCWV. The rest of the paper is SU. The eyelets are from the Cropodile carrying case kit. (That's a tongue twister).
I hope that Dustin makes more of these super duper images. Although this one is so versatile that any more would practically permanently stock my stamp collection!!
Well, almost. :)
