My First SCS swap!
These are the cards I made for my first evah SCS swap! I've swapped before, but this is the big leagues! :) This specific swap was for Dustin Pike images. As soon as I saw the thread on SCS I knew I wanted to join. I love DP's images and I need swap practice anyway!! **Keep an eye open for an MSB swap real soon!**
The paper is SU. The sentiment is from the SU set "Very Punny". I colored the image with PrismaColor pencils and stickled the moon. The ribbon is from HL. The image was a freebie on DP's blog, btw! You can't beat that!!
The swap is due July 3, so I am finished with plenty of time. Look at me getting stuff done ahead of schedule! What a nice change of pace! :)

Dustin Pike, Post Pals and Blog Candy!!
Dustin Pike is giving away blog candy! Whoooo! Check out his blog for all the details!
Here's a basic overview. In order to be in the running for the blog candy you need to make a card and send it to Post Pals. Post Pals is an organization that allows sick children in the UK to receive cards from around the world. It's like pen pals on a higher level! :) Here is the card I made:
I left this Dustin Pike image blank so that my post pal could color it himself. I thought that would be more fun. :) The PP is from the DCWV "All Boy" stack. I embossed the blue paper with the Cuttlebug "Distressed Stripe" folder.

It's a great organization and I guarantee you'll be putting a smile on a special child's face when they get a card from you! :)

Riding in MONSTER TRUCKS with boys!
I was SO excited to see this awesome digi stamp on Dustin Pike's blog yesterday. Every Wednesday he gives away a new image. This week's had me jumping up and down. (Ok, not literally. I was jumping in my mind though). It is very hard to find "boy" images. Especially one as cute...ahem....I mean, tough as this one.I colored the truck with my Copic and Bic markers. Isn't it nice to have those two working together? Million dollar markers and Walmart specials. :) I cut the image out and pop-dotted it onto the background. I sponged the background with SU ink. Brocade Blue, Close to Cocoa & Creamy Caramel. The star paper is from DCWV. The rest of the paper is SU. The eyelets are from the Cropodile carrying case kit. (That's a tongue twister).
I hope that Dustin makes more of these super duper images. Although this one is so versatile that any more would practically permanently stock my stamp collection!!
Well, almost. :)

Let him sleep...

When I saw this free (yes, I said free!), digital stamp on Dustin Pike's blog I immediately knew what I wanted to use it for. I've had a quote in mind for over a year now that I've wanted to use on some kind of picture for my son's room. I could never quite find the right format or images. When I saw this adorable bear, I knew it was perfect!!

I cut out the "cloud" image by hand and stickled along the edge. I also stickled the craters on the moon. I colored the bear and star with my Bic Write-It markers. I stamped Colson's name in white craft ink using my SU "Big Deal Alphabet" stamp set.
I am going to frame this and hang it in my son's room. I LOVE the quote. I think it is so perfect for Colson! He is an absolutely amazing kid! He is such a gift from God. Everytime I see this phrase I think about all that he is going to do in his life! I'm SO very thankful! :)

Splish, splash!
This is a card I made with a digital stamp from Dustin Pike. I love this image!
I ran the blue paper through my Cuttlebug with the "Spots and Dots" embossing folder. I used a white gel pen to make "bubbles" on the green paper. The buttons are from Archiver's. (The $1.99 hot spot!) I colored the image with Bic Write it markers and accented with my white gel pen.

Hot and Happy Easter!
The card base is Acetate. (Transparency sheets). I ran the pink card stock through the Cuttlebug with the "Swirls" embossing folder. I colored the image with Bic Write-It markers. I hand wrote "Happy Easter" with a white gel pen. Which, by the way, has become my go-to tool. I use it ALL the time. After wasting tons of money on junk gel pens I bought this one and it's worked great! It's from the Souffle line. I don't know off hand what the brand is.
So, I pray everyone who reads my blog has a blessed Easter touched by the love of Jesus Christ! What more reason can we have to rejoice? He is risen!!
