Hip Spring Skeleton!

While trying to make cards using my current SU sets I decided to pull out "Just Jawing". I usually use black and red with this set. I decided that I wanted to try some new colors this time. This is what I came up with: I'm still undecided on whether it's cute or creepy. :)

I used my VersaMark pad to stamp the flowers on the background. I used my pokey tool (yes, that's the technical name) to do the pierced border around the skull. The buttons are from a stash I have. I'm not sure where they came from.

So, it may be creepy but I still like it! Who says spring can't have a few skeletons?

Wacky Bird

I made this card using a free digital stamp. I can't remember the website, unfortunately. I saw the link in a thread on SCS. As soon as I figure it out I will post a link here.

Cardstock: The Sweet Stack (DCWV)
Coloring: Bic Write-It markers
Stickers: Chipboard

I'm slowly starting to use more doodle-ish images on my cards. I never liked this style for the longest time. Now there are so many options that it would be impossible for me not to find something I liked! So, yaa for variety! :)

Why is it still cold??!!

I am still hard at work on spring cards in the hopes of warming the weather up here. So far, it's not working. It's only going to be up in the 30's tomorrow! :(

Not to be deterred, here is my latest wamer weather card:

Stamps: Spring Gifts (Stampin' Up), Sending Happy Thoughts (Hero Arts)

Paper: The Sweet Stack (DCWV)

Coloring: Bic Write-It markers

Extra: Souffle pen, Glitter dust pen

If the weather doesn't improve soon I am going to have to make a hobby store run for more pastel paper! What a shame! ;)

Verve Visual Sketch Challenge

At the very last minute I read a thread on SCS for a Verve stamps sketch challenge. I whipped up a card and here it is:

Here is a link to the original blog post for the challenge:

Wishful spring thinkin'!

Since I refuse to let go of my hope that spring (weather) is really just around the corner I've been inspired to work on some pastel cards.

I am not a pastel kinda girl! I have nothing against soft hues, but I prefer natural and bold primary colors.

This is a card I made last night:

Stamps: Spring Gifts by Stampin' Up
Paper: DCWV The Sweet Stack
Embossing: Sizzix template
Coloring: Bic Write-It markers
Glitter: Stickles White
Ribbon: Michael's

I'm thinking that if I make enough spring cards the weather should start to warm up simply because of my sheer determination! I better work fast!!

Spring is...springing! I hope!

We had a few days of "better" weather and it has me all geared up for spring. I thought I'd post a card I made a while back that is very appropriate!
